Mike Marlin returns with The Melomaniacs and their new album “DUST”. The Melomaniacs have played together for several years and DUST is the first collaborative project that they have conceived and created together on a journey across America in 2017. This nine-song performance piece mixes the live music of Mike Marlin (lyrics and vocals), Kim Murray (guitar) and Paul Silver (keys) with the arresting visuals of Scottish filmmaker Lee Archer to produce unrivalled multi-sensory experience.

The uninterrupted and beautifully cinematic live soundtrack accompanies the film that charts the band’s journey from New York to Oregon to complete their final ensemble recording, taking in bustling Mid-Western cities, the sun-bleached vistas of Los Angeles and the arid Las Vegas desert along the way. Part-produced by Sylvia Massy, the legendary Oregon-based producer and engineer best known for her work with Johnny Cash, Prince, Tom Petty and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, DUST features Americana noir lyrics for the existentially challenged.

After the critically-acclaimed world premiere of DUST at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The Melomaniacs return home to play Live at Zedel show at The Crazy Coqs in London on 17th January 2019.
This time in more intimate setting of Brasserie Zédel, The Melomaniacs will present material from the new album as well as a couple of songs from Mike Marlin’s previous releases. You can’t miss it!

Tickets available on Brasserie Zédel website.
