Going back to the theme of genre crossover, Nashville based singer-songwriter R.LUM.R, while making fresh R&B is totally aware that he’s competing in a world dominated by pop, trap and EDM. He has dutifully prepared for it by creating music that appeals to this new consensus without losing an ounce of soul and latest track With My Words is the perfect example of that. Walking the line between these genres he holds his soulful emotive vocals at the forefront, which makes for crisp and forward thinking approach to the style.



10Digits - Novocaine

Bringing a very Daft Punk-esque flavour to his wonky dance pop crossover, Canadian DJ and producer 10Digit gets our bodies moving with irrefutable catchy Novocaine which features an exquisite performance by vocalist TYJE. Mixing funky elements with cutting edge production techniques, the enigmatic artist’s boundary pushing sound is truly something to behold. Part of his newly released album Rebirth, 10Digits is well on the path to becoming a dance music icon.



MYKL - Vitamin

Anthony and Michael Hannides are brother duo MYKL or Make You Know Love, and their brotherly synergy is so clear on Vitamin. They say that trends are cyclical and MYKL are riding the 80s synthwave revival with aplomb, with an electric instrumental that fills you with tender feelings of nostalgia. Salt Ashes - Go All Out

Inspired by the sounds of Giorgio Moroder, Brighton based dark pop artist Salt Ashes mixes the gritty and atmospheric flavours of synth-lead disco with contemporary dance. The result is the driving electro pop lament Go All Out that forges forward into new genre depths for a blissfully exciting three and a half minute listen. Her distinctive cadence fills the pockets left by the synths and drums, proof of true artistry in her execution of her niche vision.
