As Nashville-based Larkin Poe prepare for the release of their new album ‘Venom & Faith’, the sister duo have unveiled the video for lead track "Bleach Blonde Bottle Blues" and debuted new track "Sometimes". 'Venom & Faith' gets released via Proper Music on November 9th.

The duo told FLOOD Magazine that “'Bleach Blonde Bottle Blues' was so late in coming into creation that it almost didn’t make it onto the record! It was such a fun lyrical jigsaw to piece together: this rhythmic picture of a bombastic, larger-than-life woman.” On the topic of the video itself, the sisters explained their choice to shoot the video in Nashville, saying "We wanted to invoke the feel of a gritty American South with kudzu, chain link fences, and attitude.”

Meanwhile, Americana UK premiered “Sometimes” saying that the new album “cements the pair’s move into a harder, rockier sound full of glam stomp and buckets of attitude."

“We first heard ”Sometimes” being sung by blues legend Bessie Jones,” say Larkin Poe of the track. “Her 1960 recording of the song is powerful, raw, and - except for a few sparse hand claps - completely a cappella. We were transfixed and had to create a Larkin Poe rendition. We wove some new lyrics into the fabric of the song and we even wrote out parts for a horn section in the bridge! Bessie Jones was a Georgia girl too, so we find it especially cool to sing this song in her honor.”
