On Thursday 30th August, Quaglino’s is set to host one of music’s most well-known and recognisable figures in British contemporary music and performing arts, Will Young. He will take to the stage to celebrate the last night of the ‘Q Decades’ summer series, which concludes with a closing party at the iconic venue.
This summer, Q Decades sees Quaglino’s taking guests on a musical journey to celebrate the iconic music and legendary stars from some of the best loved-eras, featuring an exciting lineup of live performances. Will Young’s performance, which will include a number of this century’s biggest hits, sees the Pop Idol star finish the series in style.
After winning the 2002 inaugural series of the ITV talent contest Pop Idol, Will became one of the most popular artists of the time. Since then, his career has encompassed multi-platinum albums and sell-out live tours. Fresh from a successful stint starring in the West End’s Strictly Ballroom, Quaglino’s sees him return to the stage with his talented band for a rare performance. In this intimate show, expect to see him delight the audience with fan-favourite jazz covers, alongside his chart-topping hits, such as “Light My Fire” “All Time Love”, “Leave Right Now”, and the UK’s biggest selling single of the decade, “Evergreen”.
Will Young is one of many exceptional acts that have performed at Quaglino’s – this summer series kicked off on 1st July, with every performance since encapsulating the vibrant history of Quaglino’s throughout the eras, dating back to where it all began in 1929. Launching with an incredible performance from powerhouse soul singer Jocelyn Brown, Q Decades has gone on to honour some of the best artists of each era, including Buddy Holly, The Rat Pack, Aretha
Franklin and Lionel Richie, with each weekly event featuring an array of classic hits from a different decade.
Leslie Kwarteng, Senior General Manager at Quaglino’s, says: “We are all thrilled to have Will on board to perform at the Q Decades closing party this year. An artist whose talent will stand the test of time, we can’t think of a better performer to bring the spirit of the last decade to Quaglino’s, and we’re expecting the evening to be an explosive end to what has been another incredible summer of music at the venue.”
Throughout the series, guests can enjoy live performances from the comfort of their seats, with delicious dining and a bespoke Q Decades Wine List, celebrating some of the most popular wines enjoyed at Quaglino’s since it opened.
Additionally, Quaglino’s renowned bar team, including new Head Mixologist Federico Pasian, has created a drink for each era including prohibition-style cocktails from the 20s and 30s, and a cocktail inspired by the popular 90s sitcom Absolutely Fabulous. Guests can enjoy these at the bar overlooking the stage or in the main restaurant whilst enjoying dinner and live music.
The entertainment continues with themed-brunches. Guests can look forward to a fabulous Ab Fab Bottomless Brunch, featuring 90s music from a renowned guest DJ, where they can dine just like Patsy & Eddie with a delectable Ab Fab cocktail in hand.www.quaglinos-restaurant.co.uk
