The Ivor Novello and Grammy Award-nominated Elderbrook made a flying start to a new stage in his career with his Parlophone debut track ‘Sleepwalking’. Already past a million streams at Spotify, it received airplay at Radio 1 from Annie Mac, Mistajam, Dev & Alice, Greg James, Pete Tong and Toddla T, as well as further support at 1Xtra, 6 Music and Kiss Fresh.

Now Elderbrook extends the track’s momentum with a high profile remix courtesy of Hot Creations, Paradise and Hot Natured figurehead Jamie Jones. The insistent melody of the original production is the ideal platform for Jones to unleash his creativity. Flowing from bass-heavy minimalism to an energised meld of house and techno, Jones’s mix progresses and surprises over the course of its seven-minute duration.

Elderbrook and Jamie Jones have been long-term fans of each other’s music, and have been looking for an opportunity to collaborate for some time. Jones loved the original ‘Sleepwalking’ mix and asked if he could remix the track – an invitation which Elderbrook, as a fan of Jones, was eager to accept.

To coincide with the remix, Elderbrook presents the ‘Sleepwalking’ Summer Party live at Protein Studios on 31st July.

Elderbrook’s initial breakthrough came when a track he posted to a modest number of SoundCloud followers went viral, which resulted in him landing a deal with Black Butter Records. Early releases such as ‘Could’ and its parent EP ‘Simmer Down’ resulted in comparisons with the likes of James Blake before he struck out on his own with his independent label Mine Records.

Last year, Elderbrook joined forces with production duo CamelPhat to release “a cool little club record” called ‘Cola’. Fate, however, had different plans when ‘Cola’ was catapulted from the underground and into charts all over the world. It emerged as a surprise nomination for the 2018 Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording, and its success has recently seen Elderbrook and CamelPhat earn an Ivor Novello nomination for Best Contemporary Song. He released his second EP ‘Talking’ last year as ‘Cola’ was breaking big.

Elderbrook has been selling out headline shows all over the world. In the last year alone, he sold-out XOYO and the Oval Space in London while his growing international acclaim resulted in sold-out shows at The Roxy and L.A. and Baby’s All Right in NYC. Having completed tours with Bonobo and Rüfüs Du Sol, he’s set to return to the States with festivals including Life is Beautiful and Bumbershoot as well as his biggest American headline shows to date in September.
