There's just one month to go until Boardmasters 2018. With world-class acts including Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Chemical Brothers, George Ezra and many more performing at Watergate Bay, and huge international surfing names taking to Fistral Beach, Boardmasters is stoked to share further details about everything that is on offer for 2018. This year, for the first time, Boardmasters presents TR7, a series of brand new curated events and legendary After Parties, as well as welcoming the return of the much-loved Wellbeing Area, #RoxyFitness Yoga and much more. With all of this, alongside five days of live music and invigorating surf, skate and BMX action, it’s time to start packing your bags for this year’s unmissable Boardmasters. Cornwall’s own surf and music takes place next month from 8-12 August 2018 with tickets close to selling out!
Joining the headliners on the Boardmasters line up will be a plethora of incredible artists, including the likes of BRIT Award winner Rag’n’Bone Man, the inimitable Lily Allen hot on the heels of her recent top 10 album ‘No Shame’ and the fantastic Years & Years, who have just released their critically acclaimed new album ‘Palo Santo’. Not only that, but Boardmasters will be playing host to grime legend Kano’s only UK festival appearance this summer.
Boardmasters teams up once again with the World Surf League as 100 of the biggest names in surfing from 20 countries around the world descend on the UK’s surf mecca Fistral Beach for the hotly-anticipated surf competition. It’s free to attend and watch as surf pros battle it out for the coveted Boardmasters prize. Whilst at the beach, head to the Surf Village, made up of our favourite shops and brands. Whether you’re looking for a new board, a summer tee or something to snack on whilst watching the surf competition, we have you covered. A brand-new series of curated events and parties is coming to Cornwall for Boardmasters 2018. TR7 will bring festival vibes to Newquay Town Centre from sunrise to sunset, welcoming the hottest DJs and bands for boat parties, club nights and more in what’s set to be Newquay’s biggest Boardmasters takeover yet. Expect to see the likes of Mike Skinner, Disciples, Eton Messy, Mr Scruff and more, with tickets available for these events via the Boardmasters website.

The Wellbeing Area at Watergate Bay returns bigger and better after a hugely successful 2017. Yoga classes are being held throughout the weekend, with our crew on hand to answer any questions you have about nutrition, exercise or lifestyle. The lounge area is also open all day with offerings of rejuvenation, including massage, reflexology, reiki and more. Make sure to visit Zennor Heaven, with its roots firmly embedded in legendary Cornish mermaid folklore, slow down and discover a world of mindfulness within its hidden walls. As well as hosting twelve different stages, Watergate Bay will also be home to a whole host of stalls to ensure you’re not just well fed, but also festival ready! The best independent clothing brands, face-painters, vintage stores, food vendors and many more will be on hand to help jazz you up and get you into the festival spirit! In the Land of Saints, there will also be an eclectic mix of Cornish delicacies served up at the Cornish Market.
Established in 1981, Boardmasters is a 5-day event situated across two stunning locations in Cornwall - the surfing mecca of the UK, Fistral Beach where Boardmasters famous International Surf Competitions take place and arguably the most stunning location in the country to watch live music, Watergate Bay. Last year saw Boardmasters welcome over 150,000 festivalgoers across its two sites over the 5 days of the festival.
