Composer and pianist, Alexis Ffrench, has been announced as special guest for the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra’s John Williams Movie Themes night at Kenwood House on Saturday 23rd June 2018.

Trained at the Purcell School, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Academy, Ffrench has taken the classical world by storm through his recital and concert appearances.

Having made his concert debut in 1992 as part of Sir Simon Rattle’s Towards The Millenium Series, Ffrench has received critical acclaim for his improvisation and compositions.

His success has made him a Spotify-era oddity: a classical musician who has had over 50 million streams of his independently released music.

His music is filled with a variety of influences, from orchestral and choral to contemporary production elements. With his new album due later this year, Ffrench will be aiming even higher and is currently in discussions with potential collaborators to cross-pollinate genres and demonstrate that the perceived gap between classical and pop isn’t so big after all.
