Abie Elle is a singer songwriter from East London. Growing up Abie Elle has always breathed music into her life whether it was singing at the top of her lungs to Destiny’s Child in her bedroom, or bringing some fire whilst mc’ing with the boys in the school playground. Abie Elle also spent a couple years singing as part of London’s BIG Gospel choir and performed with them at BBC One’s- Song’s of Praise - Gospel Choir of the year competition.
Abie Elle's sound is a fusion of R&B, Soul and Hip hop sounds with an occasional dancehall flavour. The single ‘Unruly’ is taken from Abie Elle’s debut EP ‘Released’ which came out at the end of 2017. Her EP launch was held in London’s buzzing Shoreditch where she performed with her live band.
The EP also features productions by producers Squizzle Ital, ProducerOmari and Higher Levelz. Unruly and the rest of the songs from the ‘Released EP’ are available to download and stream on all major digital platforms.
Since launching her EP, Abie Elle has been gigging around the globe, gracing stages in the USA, Africa, and the UK, she also performed at Gambia’s Independence Stadium in December 2017 in front of thousands. The stadium has held host to concerts by reggae, dancehall and afro beats artists such as Jah Cure, Mavado and WizKid. Abie Elle has actively supported the ‘Gambia has decided’ campaign for democracy and change when tensions in the country were high as the former president refused to step down. That experience inspired Abie Elle to write a song called ‘Decided’ which promotes change and unity.
