More big names have been added to the line-up for BBC Music’s The Biggest Weekend. The four-day festival is taking place next month on the late May bank holiday weekend (25-28 May) over four sites in four nations. The huge musical extravaganza will be broadcast on TV, radio and online and will celebrate the extraordinary breadth and diversity of music across the BBC.

Announced today, Florence + The Machine, Shawn Mendes, Demi Lovato, Jason Derulo, Clean Bandit, Anne-Marie and others join an already massive and stellar line-up made up of Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Liam Gallagher, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Orbital, Beck, Underworld, Nigel Kennedy, Danielle De Niese, The Shires, Manic Street Preachers, Emeli Sandé, J Hus, Go Go Penguin, Snow Patrol, Strictly Come Dancing with the BBC Concert Orchestra plus many many more.

The Biggest Weekend will host concerts in Belfast, Coventry, Swansea and Perth with sets available on Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio 3 and 6 Music, BBC iPlayer, online, mobile and extensive TV coverage on BBC One, Two and Four.

Also part of The Biggest Weekend is The Biggest Weekend Fringe, a creative and comprehensive outreach programme which will take place from Friday 18 May until Monday 28 May. The 10-day event will include live musical performances, industry insight, workshops and Q&A’s with BBC Radio DJ’s and influential figures, a UK wide tour with BBC Music Introducing, a new Ten Pieces initiative called No Place Like Challenge, Radio 1’s Academy, employability events and work experience opportunities for young people plus lots more. The Biggest Weekend Fringe will travel to the four host cities - Belfast, Coventry, Perth and Swansea - as well as the rest of the UK.
