Every week, Music News and Liberty Music look at the best new releases from emerging and self-releasing artists.

This week we have singles and videos from some of the best releases this week in indie and alternative pop.

The Pylons - Just Beyond Home

Following The Pylon's debut EP release, 'Pictures of the Past' which garnered over 1,000,000 Spotify streams and also earned airtime on both BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6 Music, original members Alex Dalton, Joe Davies, Joey Walker and Phil Gale welcomed a new member into the fold in the shape of vocalist, Emily Bridgewood transforming them from a five into a six-piece and steering them into a new musical dawn.

'Just Beyond Home' is the first song to be released by The Pylons since taking a year out to concentrate on writing fresh material and the first to feature Emily's valorous vocals at the helm. Make sure you tune into this blissful and adventurous indie-pop number.

Tony Njoku - Remain Calm

Since he first put his hand to experimentalism, just three years ago, Njoku has emerged as the real deal, in that, like all greats - Eno or Wire, latter-day geniuses Bjork and Laurel Halo - he has the uncanny ability to convert the ideas and aesthetics of high art into sonic form, and expand on the meaning. Many of Tony's favourite artists are given new life on his upcoming, second album 'H.P.A.C.'

In 'Remain Calm's' lyrical micro-statement and crudely sharded synth-sound can be detected Suprematism's 'zero degree' proto-abstractionist art. In an appropriate follow up from 'Drifting Off In A Care Powered Balloon" the cosmic pavilions, synthetic horizons and social utopianism of Olafur Eliasson's work is coded into the song's starry arpeggios and flinty modulations.

ZOOFAN - Baby Blue

Self-produced, intricate and catchy - 'Baby Blue' follows on with their dreamy synth pop sound with strong melancholic melodic tones, crisp harmonies and slick production. Check it out now.

Fracois Klark - Run

Ahead of the release of his debut album 'LOVE' this Spring, Canadian singer-songwriter and producer Francois Klark is excited to share the visuals for his second single 'Run'. His first song 'Spaceman', which was released in August 2017 caught the attention of music lovers and industry professionals worldwide. The song has garnered a positive response from music critics and over 200K streams with features on official playlists on Deezer and Spotify.

In the accompanying visual, directed by Yeah Films, the magnitude of the heartbreak soaks the screen, as Klark literally runs away from the pain.

RAINDEAR - Sky

Much like RAINDEAR herself, 'SKY' is a little adventurous and quirky at the same time - a fairytale anthem with a bohemian nature, about that inner world you decide to stay in after lovers have let you down.

The emerging pop talent from Stockholm, never fails to letdown in her releases and her design of intricate vocals and bold beats gives her a unique and wicked edge.

Platonick Dive - Habit

Since their inception (2010), Platonick Dive has embarked on several tours across Europe and the US and released two albums, now the band make a return with a handful of singles before the release of their next album, 'Social Habits'.

Positioned as the opening track for Social Habits, "Habit" captures the band's artistic transition in their decidedly more ambitious album in which the electronics, the beats and the dreaming sounds of guitars and synths support the lead voice for a complete therapeutic immersion.
