Frisco, Tiggs Da Author and ShaoDow have announced an exclusive live show at London’s House of Vans on Sunday 25th March as part of Give a Gig Week 2018, Youth Music’s flagship fundraising initiative.

ShaoDow, who appears in ITV’s Ninja Warrior UK show in May, said: “I’m honoured to be supporting Give A Gig Week with the House of Vans gig. Community projects are vital for nurturing young talent. I recently visited a Youth Music Project in Acton, London and was majorly impressed with the quality of music coming from the young artists but also the dedication and support provided by the staff at the youth centre.”

Young artists from a music project supported by Youth Music at Bollo Brook Youth Centre in West London, will also be performing on the night. The artists were selected to represent all of the musical talent that comes through the youth centre on the basis of their outstanding performances at a recent local showcase. Bollo Brook Youth Centre is based on the South Acton Estate in West London. Working with around 900 young people a year, it offers a safe environment, activities, support and advice. It has a high quality music studio, largely funded by Youth Music.

In addition to Frisco, Tiggs Da Author and ShaoDow, Newton Faulkner, Craig David, Pixie Lott, The Wombats, Dream Wife, and Femme have all pledged their support for Give a Gig Week 2018. They will be taking part in gigs across the world helping to raise funds for Youth Music, which supports 350 projects across the country for children and young people experiencing challenging circumstances. Give a Gig Week takes place from 16 – 25 March; last year’s initiative saw over 330 acts taking part in 119 gigs in venues across the country. The charity is calling for more musicians to join the week-long celebration of live music and fundraising.

Give a Gig Week will be a nationwide music-making extravaganza, with the charity aiming to have at least 100 fundraising gigs taking place. Gigs can take place anywhere: be it a living room, the local pub, arena or a more unusual space. Getting involved is easy - anyone who is planning to put on a gig should register it at www.giveagig.org.uk where they will find a range of resources to help them make their gig an unmissable event, including guides on planning, publicising and fundraising.
