Grammy Award-winning artist Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley has announced his first solo U.K. performances since the release of the critically acclaimed album Stony Hill. Tickets go on sale on 10am Friday 16 February 2018 at MetropolisMusic.com

Stony Hill, arriving at a moment when the rhythms of the Caribbean are all over the pop charts—with mostly light-hearted lyrical content—Stony Hill’s timing couldn’t be better. “It’s good to get some music out there that points to the foundation, the spirituality of it,” said Jr. Gong. “You don’t have to turn into a clown to sell the music,” Damian continues, chastising those whose appeal is based on stunts and gimmicks.

Damian recently released the single entitled “Medication”. The accompanying video was shot at the former Claremont Custody Center in Coalinga, CA; “Medication” shows the contrast between past and present, featuring the prisoners who once lived there and the plants that thrive there now. As a prelude to the new video, several powerful testimonials were filmed featuring individuals whose quality of life has improved through the use of cannabis.

"The video showcases the night and day of what this prison used to be. This place used to house human beings and now is a place that houses plants — some of those humans were once upon a time locked up because of these plants. We are showing the contrast, and what has become something positive and beneficial for so many people.” – Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley

Damian, along with his brother, and fellow Grammy winning artist Stephen, have posted a series of #Cannabisheals testimonials on their social media accounts. The testimonials and music video are produced by Scheme Engine and directed by acclaimed photographer and director Nick Walker, feature a number of patients who have benefited from the use of cannabis for healing purposes.
