No better way for The Vaccines to launch their fourth studio album than with an exhilarating live set performed before a lucky audience of ballot winners at House of Vans London. Celebrating Vans long history and commitment to music, House of Vans London welcomed one of the biggest and most adored British bands to the stage with a special live performance to launch their new album Combat Sports, released on the 30th March.

The announcement of the special gig put fans into overdrive as the ballot was inundated with applicants keen to witness the bands most intimate show in London in years in the very special surrounding of House of Vans London in the arches underneath Waterloo. With tickets in hands, The Vaccines' eager and most fortunate fans made their way to Waterloo and waited for the doors to open. Unsurprisingly, the venue was filled to capacity and the anticipation and excitement was palpable.

The Vaccines burst onto the stage promptly with brand new tracks ‘­­­Nightclub’ and ‘Surfing In The Sky’, the crowd were treated to an intimate and extra special show with a performance and energy level never normally confined to such an intimate setting.

Over the course of the set, the band performed further great tracks including new single ‘I Can’t Quit’, which was the first time the band has ever performed the song in public. The band debuted 5 further never been heard before songs from new album Combat Sports including ‘Your Love Is My Favourite Band’ and ‘Rolling Stones’, not to mention old favourites ‘Post Break Up Sex’ and ‘If You Wanna’ which were warmly received by a jubilant crowd.

To commemorate the special event, fans could take home an exclusive live screen printed tee emblazoned with the title of the bands new single ‘I Can’t Quit’.

The album Combat Sports is available from the 30th March and the band kick off a 9 date UK tour in Bristol on the 3rd April 2018 ending on the 14th April at London’s infamous Alexandra Palace..
