Fishbach - Mortel
Mortel makes good on French artist Fishbach's early promise, building on the solid foundations laid throughout the last 12 months. Wasting no time in getting things off the ground, weighty percussion is paired against an airy yet ominous synth, creating an understated tapestry over which Fishbach's vocals are effortlessly draped in 'Mortel'. Watch now.
Kaerhart - For What It's Worth
Kaerhart releases "For What It's Worth" a project in collaboration with LA-based producer Dead Robot. When speaking on the single Kaerhart share remarks "I was in a session with my good friend and producer, Dead Robot. We were both feeling outraged and upset about the state of the world and everything going on in our political climate. We wanted to convey that feeling into a song and decided that there would be no better way than to cover one of the greatest protest songs of all time - 'For What Its Worth."
Young Galaxy - Under My Wing
Showcasing the electro pop duos new independence is lead single, "Under My Wing". Young Galaxy's track intentionally blurs what listeners have come to expect from the band. Musically it's cloudy and swirling, the lyrics obscured, almost unintelligible by design. This one's a must listen, tune in.
485c - Kapow!
Five piece, 485c built a strong following from the release of their singles 'She'll Lie,' 'Strange Medicine' and 'Better The Man' last year as well as playing The Great Escape, Nambucca and supporting The Sherlocks Now new single 'Kapow!' is another addictive slice of indie-pop bedlam - it being a short, sharp shock of winding guitars, louche vocals and dreamy harmonies, all wrapped up in 2 minutes and 49 seconds.
Adrian Daniel - Deadly Attraction
Melding musical influences ranging from Kanye West to Michael Jackson to Tame Impala and beyond, he's is set on defying genres and labels. This is exemplified in his upcoming album, 'FLAWD'. His latest single from this, 'Deadly Attraction' is no exception from his trail of great releases - channelling smooth R&B vocals with slick, creative beats.
SAMA - Cold Weather
SAMA return with new music for 2018 and continue their output of beautifully constructed dance-able indie pop with their new jam 'Warm Cloudy Weather' . The 3 piece have roots in Italy and have a distinctive European and summery vibe to their music, mixing balearic guitar lines with soulful vocals and a slick electro-pop production, akin to The Avener, Years & Years, Robin Schulz.
Demons Of Ruby Mae - To Be Adored
Coming quickly off the back of last year's rousing single release 'Someday', the Leicester-born, Manchester-raised duo Demons of Ruby Mae are set to begin 2018 in a big way.
'To Be Adored', their latest single, finds the two-piece building on the sonic spaciousness of that previous single, before punctuating those spaces with a more electronic aesthetic, something that allows the band's obvious talent to blossom.
