It has been a whirlwind two years for the Plymouth - born musician. He reached number one with his highly acclaimed self - titled album, and joined One Direction as main support on t heir farewell tour in the autumn of 2015. To round off his incredible success, Lawson was awarded the prestigious Ivor Novello Award for Best Song (Musically and Lyrically) in 2016.

He has, to date, had 150 million Spotify streams, more than 30 million Yo uTube views, and has sold more than a million copies of his juggernaut, worldwide hit ‘Wasn’t Expecting That’. Lawson recently released his second critically acclaimed album ‘Happy Accidents’. Jamie said of the campaign: “I’m very proud to have been asked to sing this song. The work being done by Walking With The Wounded for ex - servicemen and women is inspirational and changes people’s lives. It’s an honour to be releasing this single to bring more awareness to the Walking Home for Christmas campaign, and h elp change the lives of hundreds of people.”

Walking With The Wounded (WWTW) which has Prince Harry as its Expedition Patron is aiming to treble the number of ex - servicemen and women it supports in 2018, following a 97% increase last year to more than 1,0 00. Richard, who served 4 years as a Trooper in the 13/18th Royal Hussars, was one of more than a thousand veterans helped last year.

He said of the campaign: “This time last year I was living homeless. Thanks to WWTW and the Walking home for Christmas ca mpaign, this Christmas I am in a job and have a roof over my head. I am looking forward to spending Christmas with my godson and his family. I’ll be able to buy them presents, something I never thought possible.”

This December, Walking With The Wounded i s asking the British public to sign up to the Walking Home For Christmas campaign, proudly supported by Wolsey, and take part in a sponsored walk of any sort between Friday 8th – Sunday 17th December to raise money for wounded ex - servicemen and women.

Ed ward Parker, Co - Founder and CEO, WWTW said : “Too many of our ex - military have little to look forward to this Christmas. They’ve walked in far more dangerous environments for us, so it is the least we can all do to organise a walk for them.”

Edward Parker continues: “We want people to throw on a Santa hat, call up old friends and raise some funds so that we can support these men and women back into work, back into independence and into a place where they can look forward to and enjoy Christmas with their f amilies.”
