Morrissey has unveiled his video for Jacky’s Only Happy When She’s Up On The Stage, taken from his top 5 album 'Low In High School'. Set in a 1960s television studio filled with moody Go-go dancers, the video shows Morrissey lead satirical dance routines with his band playing a 'Four Tops' inspired backing group, clad in silk jumpsuits.

Despite being widely reported as such, the track is not a Brexit anthem, as recently stated by Morrissey “the song is not about Brexit, there’s no Brexit in it, the lyrics on the liner notes are headed for the exit”.

The video is the second to be released from the new album 'Low In High School', Morrissey's 11th straight Top Ten charting debut in the UK. Spent the Day in Bed, the album's first single, paved the way, setting another milestone for Morrissey as it garnered the most airplay he’s received in years in the US and was a top 20 airplay hit in the UK. “Spent” was also Morrissey’s first track to receive “A” list airplay on BBC Radio 2.

In the week before album launch, the City of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti officially declared November 10th as “Morrissey Day”. The mayor was quoted as saying “Los Angeles embraces individuality, compassion, and creativity, and Morrissey expresses those values in a way that moves Angelenos of all ages,” The certificate commemorating the event was given to the artist at the first of two shows at Los Angeles legendary Hollywood Bowl that hosted over 35,000 Morrissey fans for the sold out performances..

Low in High School is Morrissey’s first studio album since 2014 and his debut for BMG. The album sees BMG partnering with Morrissey on the new release and on the launch of his new label, Etienne Records. Low in High School was recorded at La Fabrique Studios in France and in Rome at Ennio Morricone’s Forum Studios. The record is produced by Joe Chiccarelli (who has worked with Frank Zappa, The Strokes, Beck and The White Stripes to name a few)
