This year Wahaca will celebrate Day of the Dead across the country with a host of immersive events, an exclusive banquet, a street food market, and feasting menus, all culminating in a three-day, all-encompassing subterranean festival of life at London’s The Vaults. In light of recent events, all of Wahaca’s profits from the festival will go directly to the charities supporting those affected by the earthquakes in Mexico, as well as additional fundraising that will happen across Wahaca restaurants nationwide.

Wahaca’s Day of the Dead Festival will take place on the 2nd- 4th November, and will see foodies, music lovers, and party-goers alike come together to celebrate the departed.

Day of the Dead celebrations will be brought to life with decorations and a limited edition Feasting menu, to help people be part of the festival nationwide, including Wahaca restaurants in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Liverpool, and Brighton.

Day of the Dead Festival at The Vaults
2nd – 4th November
The Vaults, Leake Street, SE1
7pm-2am

Inspired by the traditional Día de los Muertos celebrated across Mexico, Wahaca’s festival will encompass different aspects of Day of The Dead, from rituals and prayer to dance and theatrics, all brought together in the underground tunnels of London’s Waterloo.

There will be live music, Mexican performers and art, and hands on experiences for revellers to enjoy. The festival’s labyrinth of tunnels will play host to a Mayan jungle and then into a re-creation of the Cemetery Panteon General in Oaxaca, with performances of poetry and songs where guests will be encouraged to pay their respects to the loved ones they’ve lost. Music will be curated by Movimientos, with DJ’s playing late into the night.
For those who prefer a different kind of party, Wahaca have teamed up with international sensations Morning Gloryville who will be putting on a Day of the Dead themed morning rave on Saturday 4th November kicking off at 7am.
