Paul McCartney performed in Miami on Friday night and the setlist gives Australian fans a glimpse of what to expect in November.
The 39 song setlist features more than half Beatles. 24 songs by The Beatles cover the show booked by ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ at the start and ‘The End’ at the end.
From his early days Paul goes back to pre-Beatles and his days with The Quarrymen with ‘In Spite Of All The Danger”. The song is the only song credited to Paul McCartney and George Harrison. It was originally recorded on 12 July 1958, three days before the death of John Lennon’s mother Julia. The song was officially released for the first time in 1995 as part of The Beatles ‘Anthology’.
The Quarryment were John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, John Lowe and Colin Hanton. Drummer John Lowe is now 75 years old. In 2014 he appeared on the BBC’s ‘Would I Life To You’.
Drummer Colin Hanton is now 78. He left The Quarrymen after an argument on January 1, 1959. Hanton and Lowe revived The Quarrymen in 1997 and occasionally still do gigs.
