Hong Kong’s biggest annual music and arts festival, Clockenflap has started the countdown to this year’s 10th anniversary event by announcing Bristol Trip-Hop legends MASSIVE ATTACK and Canadian indie-rock chanteuse FEIST as first of many more names to join the line up.

Set along the stunning backdrop of the famous Hong Kong skyline, Clockenflap continues for its tradition of honouring the unique ‘East-meets-West’ history of the city. This year’s meticulously curated lineup provides festival-goers with talents across international, regional and local artists, bringing the finest music acts from both the Eastern and Western scenes together for its equally international festival audience.

The first announcement features four Asian festival exclusive performances, two special sets andnine Hong Kong debut appearances. Tickets for the festival, which takes place Friday, November 17 to Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Central Harbourfront, are on sale now, and fans can take advantage of the Early Bird discount prices until July 4, 2017.

Set to close the festival on Sunday with their spectacular full live show, MASSIVE ATTACK will be performing their one and only Southeast Asian show of the year at Clockenflap, demonstrating why they have been one of the most influential acts of the past 30 years. They will be joined on the Friday by hugely respected singer songwriter FEIST.

Among the other acts announced are celebrated Portland indie-rockers THE DANDY WARHOLS, the band behind sing-along anthems such as Bohemian Like You and Not If You Were The Last Junkie On Earth; acclaimed world-music mavericks TINARIWEN; and a special reunion performance by Hong Kong indie legends FAN HUNG A 粉紅A.

Reaffirming Clockenflap’s commitment to showcase the best of Asian musical talent, the lineup also includes a festival exclusive performance from rising Korean R&B/Hip Hop star DEAN; hotly-tipped Chinese rap group HIGHER BROTHERS 海爾兄弟; Taiwanese alt-indie band HELLO NICO; and a special Clockenflap Main Stage set by Hong Kong rock pop favourites SUPPER MOMENT.

Set to promise a dance are performances from Danish Electropop singer-songwriter MØ; British-Nigerian Afro Electronica collective IBIBIO SOUND MACHINE; and genre innovators such as Norway’s CASHMERE CAT, US-based DJ/producer MATTHEW DEAR and Canadian duo BOB MOSES.

Further in the line are Manchester five-piece BLOSSOMS (another Clockenflap Asian exclusive!) and new, local acoustic wonders PER SE.
