Every week, Music News and Liberty Music look at the best new releases from emerging and self-releasing artists.

This week we have singles from some of the best upcoming artists in indie-pop and Afrobeat.

Land Before Bedtime – Broadway

Born was Land Before Bedtime, making beats out of a bedroom in Light’s home county of Kent. Taking influence from the likes of Blackbear, OutKast, Jeremih, Drake and Mura Masa, LBB boasts a slick electro pop sound alongside a trap and hip-hop mentality, with his two first releases gaining attention from tastemaker Abbie McCarthy (BBC Introducing/BBC Radio 1).

RHEA – Dreams

RHEA’s thrilling debut 'Dreams' places contemporary R&B and hip-hop production right at the forefront, while inciting her soul and latin roots in clear fashion. Her softened, ethereal vocals bask with clean and dominant trap beats throughout in this stunning first single.

Cici Jack – Island Vibes

A sensual sweetness is created that remains both intrinsic and stylistic in Cici Jack’s debut single ‘Island Vibes’. Capturing a marvellous minimalistic-pop sound, a lazy marimba solo swiftly glides with the vocals to create a psychedelic yet infectious atmosphere in the later half.

DA BEATFREAKZ - ‘QUAVO’ Feat. Sneakbo, Moelogo, Afro-B, Sona

Premiered by BBC 1Xtra’s DJ Target, the track is a nod to the Migos member and how hip hop culture has been embraced worldwide. With the Afrobeats scene is currently flourishing in the UK, the pair announce this track as the first single from a forthcoming project of original material.

Smooth Ends – Be A Man

Sunshine and uplifting motifs are prominent in their sound, mix this with four to the floor drums, psychedelic drops and a radio friendly French house inspired mix then you’ve got a young band at the top of their game. With members from Argentina, France, Chile and Miami, Smooth Ends are clearly not your average London band and they’re doing a great job at that.
