Every week, Music News and Liberty Music look at the best new releases from emerging and self-releasing artists.

This week we have singles and videos from some of the best upcoming artists in indie pop and soul.

Arcaves – Familiar Stranger

‘Familiar Stranger’ marks the return for Arcaves in 2017, taking in elements of soul, pop, trip-hop and indie-rock in their newest release. Flourishing the catchiness from clear pop references in 90s records while honing in modern influences, their sound sits somewhere between Zero 7 and London Grammar.

Santino Le Saint – 4AM

New trap-rock release ‘4AM’ is built around electric guitar riffs and darkened, overcast beats, with Santino’s evocative vocal taking centre stage. Setting a new precedent for Santino’s cinematic output, ‘4AM’ is the first release from his forthcoming EP set for release in May.

SLOES – All in the Mind

The EP titled track from their upcoming ‘All In The Mind EP’ is to be released on the 7th July. Lilting, undulating guitar lines, gentle overlapping violin and harmonic backing vocals are some of the wonderful qualities of this Arcade Fire-esque title track.

Rachel Jane – Waiting For A Change

This new, dynamic, high-energy offering showcases an honesty from the young artist Rachel Jane. The single is anthem of courage, perseverance and strength, in the midst of frustration and delay.

Poor Nameless Boy – Atlantic Ocean

After been described as lighter versions of Noah Gunderson and Donovan Woods, with the wispy sounds of Gregory Alan Isakov. Poor Nameless Boy’s latest release ‘Atlantic Ocean’ is a heartfelt, folk charmer that places you intimately into the tour life of the emerging singer-songwriter. This is the first video release from the album ‘Bravery’.
