Currie will support the release, his fourth solo album and first since 2013’s critically acclaimed ‘Lower Reaches’, with a headline tour with his band The Pallbearers, culminating at Islington Assembly Hall on June 2.

As the main songwriter in Del Amitri, who formed in Glasgow in 1983, Currie wrote many of their biggest hits including ‘Roll To Me’, ‘Always The Last To Know’, and ‘Nothing Ever Happens’. During their distinguished career Del Amitri released four Top 10 albums, including ‘Waking Hours’ (1989), which sold over a million copies in the UK alone. After a decade long hiatus, Del Amitri reunited for ‘The A to Z Of Us’ Tour in 2014, selling out venues including Glasgow’s SSE Hydro Arena and Hammersmith Apollo in London.

Currie lives and breathes in Glasgow, collects beer mats and makes his own cushions.
