Benji Madden posted a sweet message to wife Cameron Diaz as she marked her 44th birthday.
The Good Charlotte rocker and Charlie's Angels star stunned the world when they married in January, 2015, after less than a year of dating. But as Cameron celebrated her big day on Tuesday (30Aug16), Benji, 37, took to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute to his spouse.
Alongside a picture of the pair in silhouette cosying up in heavy rain, Benji wrote: "Happy Birthday to my beautiful Wife, You're my best friend and I'm so thankful for you, sometimes I just want to tell the world. Generous, Kind, Compassionate, Selfless, Humble, Thoughtful, Patient and Loyal. Just a few of the qualities I would use to describe who you are, consistently, everyday. Thanks for being you, I'm a lucky guy. Here's to many more. I love you @camerondiaz."
Benji wasn't the only famous face to publicly wish Cameron a happy birthday.
Gwyneth Paltrow also shared a snap on Instagram of herself with Cameron and Drew Barrymore, writing: "Dear @camerondiaz, before the day ends, I bid you a happy birthday, and I hit the ground with gratitude for getting to be one of the women who calls you a best friend."
While many women struggle with the process of ageing, Cameron is someone who has always been thankful for the wisdom she gains every year of her life.
"Everything gets easier as you grow older," she previously told Britain's GQ magazine. "It's just great. It's about your spirit and the way you look at life. I've matured, definitely. But I kept an open mind about everything and that keeps you young. Age is just a number anyhow."
In fact, Cameron is so appreciative of getting older that she recently penned a tome entitled The Longevity Book.
