Justin Timberlake is the new partner and producer of the Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival.

The music event launched in 2015, hitting the right notes with crowds who flocked to the site in Franklin, Tennessee.

The brainchild of Better Than Ezra singer Kevin Griffin, the Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival fuses music with the best in the region’s food and drink, for a two-day spectacle.

The Can’t Stop the Feeling! singer, who was born and bred in Memphis, Tennessee, shared his excitement in a statement.

“(This) is an amazing opportunity to help build an exceptional event and contribute to my community," he said.

Kevin echoed Justin’s sentiments, adding the multi Grammy Award-winning singer is “a perfect fit” for the music event.

The 2016 festival kicks off on the 24 September (16), and will see musicians and singers from all genres hitting the stage. Beck, Hall & Oates and Kacey Musgraves will all be performing, as will Kevin with Better Than Ezra. Justin will not be performing at the event this year (16), organisers said.

Justin’s latest role will have to fit in around the star’s already busy workload. The 35-year-old is one of the hardest working stars in showbiz, juggling music and film work with being a dad to baby son Silas, 16 months, who he has with wife Jessica Biel.

For his next project, DreamWorks’ animated flick Trolls, Justin not only voices the role of Branch, but he also worked as executive music producer too.

Sharing a snap of the Trolls soundtrack track listing on Instagram recently, Justin let his fans know the music was close to completion.

“Almost ready....#DreamWorksTrolls #Soundtrack. Presale coming soon. Stay tuned....,” he posted.

Trolls, which also stars Anna Kendrick, Zooey Deschanel and James Corden, hits theatres from October (16).
