Paula Patton has shared a sweet throwback picture with ex-husband Robin Thicke and declared she has "no regrets" over their time together.
The Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol actress divorced the Blurred Lines singer in 2014 after they had been together for around 21 years, and married for nine. While the singer attempted to win Paula back with gestures such as naming an album after her, he failed to spark a reconciliation.
The couple have remained friends for the sake of their six-year-old son Julian and Paula reflected on their "amazing" time together in a heartfelt post on Instagram on Thursday (04Aug16).
"Memories...I always try to only remember what was fun and made me smile," she wrote in the caption. "My friend showed me this and it took my breath away. We were babies and we had a beautiful baby. What an amazing time in my life. No regrets! Celebrating this amazing life we get to live never knowing what's coming next. Love is always the answer. @robinthicke #throwbackthursday."
In the throwback picture, the couple are youngsters and Paula, who has her hair in tight curls, leans into a long-haired Robin for a hug.
After their split, Robin moved on with model April Love Geary, who is 17 years his junior, with the pair last pictured together in June (16), while Paula, 40, has revealed she is dating, something she had never done before.
"I mean, I married my high school sweetheart so I never dated, so it's brand new for me," she told U.S. morning show Live! with Kelly in June (16). "It's weird. I kind of have this dual life. I'm a mum most of the week and then he (Julian) is with his dad and then I'm trying to figure this (dating) out. I'm like this Sex and the City girl, like I don't know. I'm like a teenager."
