Selena Gomez has teased fans by suggesting she is working on a musical collaboration with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber.

The Come and Get It hitmaker took to Snapchat over the weekend (30-31Jul16) to share a snippet of her cover of DJ Snake's forthcoming dance track Let Me Love You, which features vocals by Bieber.

In the short video, Selena is seen lounging on a bed and giggling as her version of the tune plays in the background.

The post sparked a frenzy among fans, who have become convinced the Snapchat clip is evidence Selena is secretly recording a new song with Justin.

The 24-year-old's teaser emerged just days after DJ Snake previewed the Bieber tune on Twitter last week (ends29Jul16), and the French producer only fuelled rumours about a Selena/Justin musical reunion by cryptically tweeting a purple heart emoji to the sexy star on Sunday (31Jul16), and then liking a number of Twitter posts about the potential duet. He has since 'unliked' the posts, according to UsMagazine.com.

Let Me Love You was recorded by Bieber for DJ Snake's forthcoming album, Encore, which is released on Friday (05Aug16). The Baby singer is listed as the only performer on the project's tracklisting, leading some fans to believe Selena could feature on a possible remix.

The former couple has previously hit the studio for a song called Strong, which leaked online in October (15). The tune had reportedly been recorded for fun three years earlier, when Justin and Selena were still dating.

The stars famously enjoyed an on/off romance from 2011 to 2014 and have remained friendly since their split, with Bieber insisting he had nothing but kinds words for his ex during an interview with Billboard magazine in November (15).

"I'm proud of the woman she is today," he explained. "When you love someone that much, even if something comes between you, it's a love that never really dies."
