Michael Kiwanuka’s second album, the critically acclaimed Love & Hate, has debuted today at number 1 in the UK albums chart.
Following near faultless critical praise on both sides of the Atlantic, Love & Hate, produced alongside Danger Mouse and Inflo, gives Michael his first number one record. It also marks the first time a BBC Sound Poll winner has beaten a previous best chart placing on second album release.
Currently touring Australia, Michael returns to the UK in August to perform at Boardmasters Festival on the 13th August ahead of a full headline tour in October. The tour stops at Shepherds Bush Empire on the 11th October.
