Chris Hemsworth is hoping to score a free private gig from Taylor Swift if she stops by the Thor: Ragnarok set to visit boyfriend Tom Hiddleston.

The Shake It Off hitmaker has joined her new beau in Australia as he begins work on the new Thor sequel, and Tom's co-star Chris is excited at the prospect of meeting Taylor.

The Aussie actor, who plays the titular superhero in the film franchise, admits he has yet to personally greet the singer, as he did not attend a group movie outing on Thursday (14Jul16) to watch his new Ghostbusters movie.

Chris called in to local radio show Fitzy & Wippa on Friday (15Jul16) and was quizzed about Swift's visit and her relationship with his onscreen brother.

Asked if Taylor has visited the Thor: Ragnarok set, he replied, "I haven't actually met her... but she's obviously hugely talented."

However, Chris is eager to have Taylor perform for his four-year-old daughter India if and when he does come face-to-face with the pop superstar.

"I'll ask her just to sing a few songs. I'll just hand her the guitar in between setups with the camera," the father-of-three quipped. "I'll be like, 'Off you go.' A couple tunes would be nice."

And although he's yet to meet the musician, Chris appears to have already given her the thumbs up - because the budding romance has clearly put a smile on Tom's face.

"I've seen Tom around (on set). He looks happy, mate, you know," the 32-year-old revealed.

Tom, who portrays Thor's brother Loki onscreen, will surely welcome the kind words after calling Chris "one of my best friends" as he celebrated his first Primetime Emmy nomination for hit TV drama The Night Manager on Thursday (14Jul16).

Describing how he celebrated the nod, he told Variety.com, "Chris Hemsworth bought a round of tickets for Ghostbusters and a group of us went to see it. It's been a great day: I got to play on set with (Thor: Ragnarok co-stars) Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth, went to see Ghostbusters, and then I got nominated for an Emmy."

Tom also used his Emmy media interviews to clear up any speculation about his relationship with Taylor, dismissing critics' suggestions the romance is only for the cameras.

"The truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together, and we're very happy," the British hunk told The Hollywood Reporter. "That's the truth. It's not a publicity stunt."

The couple began dating last month (Jun16), just weeks after Taylor split from DJ Calvin Harris in late May (16).
