Judith Hill, the singer who was with Prince when he fell ill on a plane journey from Georgia days before his death, was also part of Michael Jackson's team on the King of Pop's ill-fated This Is It tour.
Judith has revealed she was with Prince on 15 April (16) as he travelled from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to his home base in Minnesota after a gig and she told The New York Times she was chatting to the superstar and enjoying dinner with him on the aircraft when he lost consciousness.
Judith and the singer's aide, Kirk Johnson, attempted to revive the superstar and then alerted the pilot, who made the decision to land the plane in Illinois, where Prince was revived with a shot of Narcan - used to treat opioid overdoses.
He died days later of an opioid overdose amid reports suggesting he was taking heavy painkillers for an ongoing hip injury.
Hill has since told the Times that the experience on the plane with Prince was "definitely the worst day of my life".
She and Prince had been working on new material for over a year.
Judith, who also enjoyed success on U.S. TV talent show The Voice and appeared in the documentary 20 Feet From Stardom, was picked as Michael Jackson's duet partner for the This Is It concert tour and rehearsed with the King of Pop for weeks until his death on 25 June, 2009.
Hill performed at Jackson's memorial service at the Staples Center in Los Angeles in July, 2009 and released a tribute to Jackson, titled I Will Always Be Missing You. Judith also appeared in the This Is It documentary, which was culled from footage shot during rehearsals.
