Right Said Fred? Aren’t they that duo that had hits with I’m Too Sexy and Deeply Dippy, then disappeared? Yes, and no. The aforementioned singles were huge domestic and international hits in the early ‘90s, coupled with a hit album and the duos engaging personalities this resulted in lots of exposure and a lot of fun for all. Their profiles may not have been that high during the noughties but Fred and Richard Fairbrass continued to have international success in particular a number one in Japan and the single Stand Up (For The Champions) being adopted by some NFL teams.

So the band has never stopped working, or doing things in their own way, not compromising just following their gut feelings and instincts. This leads us to the present day where 25 years on from I’m Too Sexy they are set to release an anniversary EP. As one of the most original and catchy pop songs of the last 25 years it’s certainly worthy of celebration. Instantly catchy, it sounds as fresh now as it did in 1991 and timeless classic is absolutely appropriate for I’m Too Sexy.

But lest you think the duo are just about anniversaries they are looking forward to releasing a new album via Pledge. As part of the campaign Right Said Fred are inviting fans to the studio and join them to record a new track for the album. It’s also an opportunity to get involved in a new recording of I’m Too Sexy and be filmed. All the details can be found on the Pledge website.
