Christina Grimmie of The Voice shot after show

Christina Grimmie, a former contestant on the US edition of The Voice, is in a critical condition after being shot following her concert in Orlando on Friday night.

Christina and her band Before You Exit were signing autographs after the show when the gunman opened fire and shot the singer before shooting and killing himself.

Grimmie was saved when her brother tackle the shooter after the shot. Christina was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Christina Grimmie was the third place contestant in Season 6 of The Voice in 2014. She is now signed to Island Records.
