Adele shares video for ‘Send My Love (To Your New Lover)’

“We've gotta let go of all of our ghosts, we both know we ain't kids no more” sings Adele on ‘Send My Love (To Your New Lover)’.



The video, directed by Patrick Daughters (Feist, Muse, Yeah Yeah Yeahs), takes the idea of ghosts figuratively and layers those ghosts around Adele to give the video a hauntingly beautiful effect.

“Ghosts in this case are versions of ourselves that remain stuck at particular point in the past" explains Daughters. “So when Adele sings about letting go of all of our ghosts, I picture other versions of her that are in a different place than where she is now.”

Debuted worldwide on the live broadcast of the 2016 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday 22nd May, as well as online via Vevo, the video is the latest single to be taken from the acclaimed album 25.

Adele is currently in the midst of a sold out tour in Europe, which runs through to the 15th June. As previously announced, Adele will headline this years Glastonbury Festival in the UK, from 22-26 June.
