Controversial rapper Azealia Banks is continuing to slam Beyonce over her new album Lemonade.
The Drunk in Love singer's new record, released last weekend (23Apr16), featured themes of infidelity and civil rights struggles which many African-American women in the U.S. face. Critics largely raved about the dark themes, but the 212 star was not impressed.
"This heartbroken black female narrative you keep trying to push is the Antithesis of what feminism is," she wrote on Twitter.com last week (ends28Apr16), before referring to some of Beyonce's lyrics which are rumoured to be about her husband Jay Z.
"You been singing about this n**ga for years and he still playing you. That's not strength that's stupidity."
"You keep crying over a man and perpetuating that sad black female sufferance and it's Not good for what we're trying to accomplish here," she continued.
"Because she's not a 'sister' she's a poacher. She's a thief. Sisters don't steal, sisters share..."
"What does any of this have to do with the fact that she poaches art from other black women and pretends it's hers?" she later added.
Beyonce has not responded to Banks' comments, but on Saturday (30Apr16), the 24-year-old continued her attack on the singer.
"Don't think for a second that beyonce was intelligent enough to come up with any of those ideas on her own," Banks wrote in response to Atlantic writer Ta-Nehisi Coates' praise of the record.
"She's not an artist, she's a poacher. she takes food out of darker skinned women's mouths & pretends to be inspired."
"Beyonce spent her entire career purposefully avoiding 'blackness' but now that it's a trend she's trying to capitalize on it," she added.
Banks has made a name for herself waging wars of words on social media with the likes of Iggy Azalea, Erykah Badu and even former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.
