Pop diva Anastacia has postponed two concerts in Switzerland after coming down with a throat infection.

The I'm Outta Love singer was due to play gigs at Zurich's Kongresshaus venue on Monday (11Apr16) and Lausanne's Théâtre de Beaulieu on Tuesday (12Apr16), but has been forced to pull out in order to rest her voice.

A statement posted on the star's official website indicated the shows would be rescheduled at a later date.

"Due to being diagnosed with a throat infection Anastacia has been ordered by the Doctor to have vocal rest for the next 4 days," the statement read. "This will unfortunately effect the Zurich show on the 11th April and the Lausanne show on the 12th. Anastacia is devastated with the idea of letting her fans down and promises that these shows will be rescheduled as soon as possible."

Over the course of her career Anastacia, full name Anastacia Newkirk has battled a number of health problems.

The 47-year-old has suffered from the chronic gut condition Crohn's Disease since she was a teenager and was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003.

In 2013 her breast cancer returned in a more aggressive form, although later that year she announced she was cancer free and had undergone a double mastectomy.

According to her website, an announcement on the rescheduling of Anastacia's tour dates will be made later this week (beg11Apr16).
