Girl group Fifth Harmony have been told not to split - by One Direction's Harry Styles.
Like Harry's British boy band, the girls in Fifth Harmony came together on TV talent show The X Factor - and quickly found success as a group.
As they prepare to release a new album, titled 7/27, in May (16), the young stars have revealed they're getting solid career advice from some big name fans, like Harry.
"I remember we were in rehearsals and he came up to us and told us as a group, 'All five of you should be on the same page and the closest things to each other, because around all five of you, there are gonna be people that are gonna come and try to snatch you, people are gonna try to break you guys apart'," singer Dinah Jane tells Entertainment Tonight.
"(He said), 'So, as long as you five are your best friends, that's the most important (thing)'."
Ironically, Harry and his bandmates announced a hiatus at the end of last year (15) and the quartet is currently working on solo ventures, amid speculation the temporary split will become permanent if any of the One Direction stars find success alone. Almost a year ago, Zayn Malik quit the group, and he's now enjoying massive solo success.
Like the British boy band, Fifth Harmony have become regular tabloid fodder thanks to stories about the girls' alleged romances, but Dinah insists nothing distracts them from business.
"Regardless of everything that's been going on, that's always been the focus, Fifth Harmony," she says. "Fifth Harmony is definitely our first love... It's always been the foundation of everything."
But, despite Harry Styles' advice, the girls can't promise fans there will be a third album right now.
"We can't predict the future but we most definitely think that there will be," Normani Kordei explains.
Ironically, in a new Bombshell magazine interview, Normani has hinted she might be the first Fifth Harmony girl to go solo, stating, "Before the girls and I were put together we all had the intentions of being solo artists. Our destiny had something different in mind for now at least.
"Going into this, I was fully committed to the girls and I still am. Someday we all aspire to venture out and grow individually with our artistry. It's impossible for five people to have the exact same ambitions all around. So to give you a more direct answer to your question and inquiring minds, the answer is, yes, one day (I'll go solo) but Fifth Harmony has tons of work to do until then."
