Chris Brown is releasing a documentary titled Welcome to My Life.

The Loyal singer announced the project by posting the film poster on Instagram on Tuesday (15Mar16) with the caption, "Coming soon".

On the poster, a topless Chris is sat cross-legged on the floor covered in shadow while a small light shines down down on him. Above the title, it reads,"He went from being America's sweetheart to public enemy number one."

Chris didn't reveal any more details about the documentary, which is directed by Andrew Sandler. It is thought it will cover his career highs and personal lows, including his 2009 assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna.

Chris has since been embroiled in numerous legal dramas and spent three months in prison in 2014 for violating his probation from the Rihanna incident. He was also sent to rehab for anger management, but was kicked out for breaking the rules. He finally completed his probation in March, 2015.

He split from girlfriend Karrueche Tran in the same month (Mar15) after it was revealed he had fathered a child with model Nia Guzman in 2014. Chris credits his daughter Royalty with making him into a better man.

"I have a co-parenting job that's pretty amazing but, you know, learning how to be a dad, especially learning how to take care of somebody else," he told radio host Ryan Seacrest. "I barely know how to brush my teeth in the morning! It's actually great. It's very humbling... It's very calming.

"I think I was a lot (more)... rambunctious, very hyper as a kid but, now seeing that 10 times over, my daughter's kinda, like, mellowing me out."
