Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is already bored with the tabloid reports of her outings with new boyfriend Liam Payne.

The two only recently went public with their romance, which came as a shock to fans especially as there is a 10 year age gap between them. While Cheryl, 32, and 22-year-old Liam have been snapped looking totally loved up on their numerous dates, the former Girls Aloud singer isn’t amused by the coverage their courting has so far received.

“Just an FYI ..I wasn't out last night for a "romantic dinner" I was out celebrating @Lily_England 30th birthday with everyone we love #facts,” she vented on Twitter after being snapped out again with Liam.

It wasn’t just the love birds who were out celebrating Cheryl’s PA Lily’s birthday; Cheryl’s mother Joan Callaghan was also in tow in London’s posh Belgravia district.

As well as sharing her frustrations on Twitter, Cheryl really drove the message home with an additional post on Instagram.

The popstar has received a lot of flack over her new romance, especially from One Direction star Liam’s loyal followers. It seems enough is enough for Cheryl though, who shut down haters with an image on the photo sharing site.

Next to the image, which read “Girls compete with each other, women empower one another”, she wrote: “It can be so hard at times being a girl, for sooo many reasons (sic)! But we don't have to make it harder for each other.. Why do we still feel the need to do that ?? I don't understand it. I have always been a Girls girl, and love other strong women. That is why I surround myself with them, and that is why I try to empower others.

“Trying to pull another person down, only speaks volumes about your character.! And not a thing about theirs.. There's nothing more powerful or beautiful than an inspiring, strong women that you can look up to or turn to... Be one!!!”
