Former supermodel Jerry Hall and media mogul Rupert Murdoch celebrated their newlywed status with a church blessing in London on Saturday (05Mar16).

The couple became husband and wife in a civil ceremony on Friday (04Mar16) and marked their union with a blessing in front of family and friends on Saturday at St. Bride's Church on Fleet Street, which is famed as a major news and publishing location. The church also holds a special significance for Rupert as it contains a plaque dedicated to his late father, Sir Keith Murdoch.

Rupert, who called himself the "happiest and luckiest man in the world" immediately after their marriage on Friday, donned his finest navy blue suit for the service at St. Bride's Church, while his bride wore a Vivenne Westwood ice blue mid-length gown.

Their children from previous relationships were heavily involved in the wedding. Jerry has four kids with Rolling Stone frontman Mick Jagger - Georgia May, 24, Elizabeth, 32, Gabriel, 18, and James, 30 - while Rupert has six from his two previous marriages: Prudence, James, 43, Lachlan, 44, Elisabeth, 47, Grace, 14, and Chloe, 12.

Prudence, Elisabeth, Lizzie, Georgia, Grace and Chloe all acted as bridesmaids, while their sons served as groomsmen.

Guests included designer Jade Jagger, the daughter of Mick and his former wife Bianca Jagger, artist Tracy Emin, theatre mogul Andrew Lloyd Webber, acting icon Michael Caine, photographer David Bailey, and former newspaper editor Rebekah Brooks.

The hour-long service at St. Bride's, led by vicar Rev. Canon Dr. Alison Joyce, was just a blessing of Friday's nuptials, as the couple was not able to legally marry at the church. Editors at People.com report that Rupert and Jerry did not have the opportunity to complete the necessary paperwork in time for their chosen wedding date.

The wedding party is due to continue the celebrations back at Spencer House, where the pair legally wed on Friday.
