Kris Jenner has jokingly threatened to "ground" son-in-law Kanye West if he continues his Twitter tirades.

The outspoken rapper has become known for his social media rants in recent weeks, attacking the likes of Wiz Khalifa, Taylor Swift, and rock producer Bob Ezrin in a series of disputes.

Reports recently suggested Kanye's wife, Kim Kardashian, had started to tire of her man's online outbursts, which had allegedly caused problems in their marriage, but she shut down the speculation on Friday (26Feb16), when the reality TV star made it clear she is firmly in Kanye's corner.

In a post on her website, she revealed she was currently loving "my husband", and hating "that people don't get that Kanye will stand up against the whole world for his creativity and art".

While Kim is clearly happy to stand by her man, her mother, Kris, admits she is keen for Kanye to take a step back from social media.

"There have been days where there should be a no tweeting law," Kris quipped during an appearance on America's The Ellen DeGeneres Show, adding, "and I feel like I will ground him."

When host Ellen suggested the 38-year-old should have a "board of directors" to approve each of his posts, the Kardashian family matriarch laughed, "That's a good idea!"

However, Kris insists she is full of love for Kanye and thinks he's "great", although she believes his comments are frequently misinterpreted.

The 60-year-old brought up Kanye's recent claims suggesting his fashion ventures have left him millions of dollars in debt as one good example, assuring fans he isn't struggling for cash.

"When he was like, 'Oh, I am $53 million in debt,' what he was trying to say was... what he's done to spend on his clothing line over the last 15 or 20 years or whatever it's been," Kris explained. "But it comes out not exactly the right way and people get it misconstrued through the media and then it's complicated."
