Actress-and-singer Jennifer Lopez is often left drained by her hectic life in the spotlight.

The 46-year-old star is currently working on three major projects - her Las Vegas concert residency, All I Have, TV cop drama Shades of Blue and U.S. singing competition American Idol, and although many people believe her life is endlessly glamorous, Jennifer confesses sometimes she dreads waking up to go to work.

“There are moments where it’s really physically and emotionally taxing, but it goes hand-in-hand with this kind of work," she tells British newspaper The Mirror. "Every scene (in my TV show) seems to carry so much weight. That gets tiring.

“I come home at the end of the day and I'm like, 'Ugh, I have to get up and do this again tomorrow? That’s crazy.’ But that’s what it is.”

Jennifer is mum to eight-year-old twins Max and Emme, her kids from her marriage to ex-husband Marc Anthony, and even though she loves parenthood, mothering can also get stressful with so much work to take care of.

“I’m only flesh and bone and I get really tired at times. Anybody who is a single mum and who works a lot knows about that," she shared. "So there is always a juggling act.

"Wishing you could be there for them more is probably the hardest part of it, but I think I’m luckier than most working mums, as I can bring them (kids) to my job. If I worked a nine to five job I probably couldn’t bring them to work, so I see them a lot more than the average working mum.”

Jennifer has been married three times and the star's high-profile relationships with ex-boyfriends Ben Affleck and Sean 'Diddy' Combs also didn't work out.

The star, who is currently attached to former backup dancer Casper Smart, knows most of the men she dated previously were "terribly wrong" for her, but the failed romances haven't ruled out another marriage for her.

"Nothing in my life is out of the question,” she smiled. “Anything and everything is possible but I don’t think I am looking for anything, really.

“When you get to a certain age, you realise everything you need and want is within you and the happiness you are seeking in others is within yourself. I think that’s what’s changed for me.

“I feel very content as a human being and happy with the life I created for me and my kids. Anything else beyond that is icing on the cake. But it’s going to have to be something that’s worthwhile.”
