Singer Perrie Edwards wants the guy to do the running this time round, according to an insider.
The Little Mix star is currently single after her shock split from fiance Zayn Malik last year (15).
Zayn is the one who called it quits, shortly after he left boyband One Direction. He has since been linked to a host of ladies, most recently model Gigi Hadid, while Perrie has instead been making the most of time with her girl pals.
"Perrie is happily playing the field right now," a source told Britain's Closer magazine. "She gave Zayn too much too soon, so now she wants to have fun. She feels Zayn got into a comfort zone because she was happy to sit back and let him go off having fun. This time she wants the guy to do the running."
That's not to say Perrie hasn't been enjoying the company of men though, as she was recently spotted out with model Leon King and earlier this month (Feb16) was snapped with a mystery man. Since apparently moving out of the north London home she bought with Zayn and into her own property, the blonde beauty is said to be focused on putting herself first. This includes turning to self-help books, the publication claims.
"Perrie's reading about love to help her find the perfect relationship one day," the source added. "The books are telling her to come across as more unattainable. She doesn't want to repeat the nightmare she went through with Zayn."
During their relationship, there were numerous claims Zayn had been unfaithful to Perrie. Despite these rumours the tattooed hunk previously insisted he'll always care for his ex-fiancee and that he didn't end things over text, as was claimed.
"I love her a lot, and I always will, and I would never end our relationship over four years like that. She knows that, I know that, and the public should know as well," he said.
