Kid Rock would rather live in a trailer than give up his aeroplane.
The 45-year-old musician, who was married to Pamela Anderson from 2006 to 2007, has enjoyed huge fame in his career to date. He has used the money from his musical success to splash out on some expensive items, but there is one object he won't ever apologise for buying.
"I bought a pretty expensive
1930 Cadillac," Kid said when asked about his most decadent purchase during an interview with Rolling Stone magazine. "It's concord-
yellow, a f**king high-dollar car.
But at the same time, it's probably going to end up being better than putting that money in the bank. And I guess an aeroplane is pretty decadent, right?
"But if anyone has a problem with that, tell them to go f**k themselves, because I will live in that trailer in Alabama before I give up that f**king aeroplane. That aeroplane is, hands down, the greatest luxury a human being could have. There's nothing that f**king beats it. F**k a yacht."
Kid was known as something of a wild child during his first days in the music industry. However, he admits he learnt the hard way that an attitude doesn't get you very far.
Asked about the most important rules he lives by, Kid replied: "Don't be a d**k. I try to be cool with everybody. Even if it's somebody where you don't really appreciate what they do, like if it's a band whose music you don't like.
"I think I got all of that out of my system when I was young anyway. I walked around flipping everyone off, telling them to go f**k themselves. Also, don't hang out with a**holes. If you surround yourself with good people, everything else is going to work itself out.
