Vevo has released streaming figures for January 2016, unveiling the top 3 artists streamed on the platform, as well as the top 3 videos that have seen the biggest increases in views across the month.
Justin Bieber tops the artist top 3, with over 46million streams in UK. Taylor Swift fills the number 2 slot, with over 18million total streams, and David Bowie is in at number 3 with 14.5 million streams.
Following the music legend’s tragic passing earlier this month, David Bowie dominates the top 3 ‘movers’ charts, taking all three spots with Heroes, Absolute Beginners and China Girl. These tracks all saw around a 2000% rise in streams on the platform, with Heroes getting more than a million streams in the UK.
