Actor Liam Hemsworth has reportedly not proposed to Miley Cyrus for a second time, despite the fact the singer is wearing her engagement ring again.
The former couple first sparked reconciliation rumours over Christmas, when the 23-year-old pop star spent the holidays with Liam and his family in his native Australia.
Miley has since been seen wearing her engagement ring, which The Hunger Games actor originally proposed with in 2012.
However, a source claims Liam, 26, did not get down on bended knee again to give her it.
"(He) never formally proposed again," the insider told Us Weekly, adding Miley simply started wearing the diamond again. "Liam noticed; they are telling friends they're engaged."
The couple called off its nuptials in September, 2013 after four years together, but has spent increasing amounts of time with each other ever since the holidays.
Miley and Liam were reportedly spotted kissing and holding hands at a Golden Globes after party earlier this month (Jan16), and on 16 January (16), images obtained by TMZ appeared to show the singer and some pals unloading her belongings from a removal truck into the actor's Malibu, California pad.
"Miley is definitely ready to settle down," the insider added to Us Weekly.
The stars have yet to comment on the reunion rumours, but Miley made no attempt to hide her ring when she posted a photo of herself holding her left hand to her chest on Instagram on 18 January.
Meanwhile, Liam has previously spoken out about their relationship, telling Men's Fitness magazine he will always love the singer.
"You fall in love with who you fall in love with," he said. "You can never choose. I guess some people just come with a little more baggage...
"We were together five (sic) years, so I don't think those feelings will ever change. And that's good because that proves to me that it was real. It wasn't just a fling. It really was an important part of my life and always will be."
