David Bowie's showing on the American Albums chart may not rival what he did in the U.K., but it still pretty impressive to put ten albums in the top 200 including his first number 1 ever.

Blackstar premiers at number 1, bettering his previous best, 2013's The Next Day which peaked at 2.

Overall, he has ten albums on this weeks Billboard 200:

Blackstar (#1)
Best of Bowie (#4)
The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars (#21)
Hunky Dory (#57)
The Platinum Collection (#65)
Nothing Has Changed (#68)
Let's Dance (#90)
Aladdin Sane (#134)
Low (#143)
The Next Day (#151)

Bowie has also hit the Hot 100 for the first time since 1997 when I'm Afraid of Americans went to 66.

Lazarus debuts this week at 40 while Space Oddity returns at 42, Under Pressure with Queen at 45 and Blackstar at 78.

Back on the Albums chart, the soundtrack album for Straight Outta Compton was finally released two weeks ago and it debuts at number 39. That's just two spots lower than the original N.W.A. album achieved when it was originally released. It has since gone up to number 4 last year.
