Miley Cyrus has reportedly won back the heart of former fiancé Liam Hemsworth by reigning in her wild side.
Miley's rise to the top of the tabloids coincided with the shedding of her clean cut, Disney Channel image. As a teenager the singer rose to fame playing Hannah Montana on the family friendly channel, but after ditching her long brown hair for a bleached blonde, cropped hairstyle, a new persona was born.
Around the same time in 2013 her one-year engagement to Liam, 25, came to an end, but now the two have been spotted getting close again. Sources close to the pair say it's all because of 23-year-old Miley's changed attitude.
"When they split, Miley went into overdrive partying and being provocative," an insider told Britain's Grazia magazine. "Liam's quite conservative, so it felt like she was reclaiming her own identity. Now she feels like she has nothing left to prove. While she's still going to push the envelope when it comes to videos and touring, she's been explaining to Liam that it's not necessarily who she is behind the scenes. She's grown her pixie crop out and let her natural brunette roots show, and started wearing slightly more reserved outfits."
Miley and Liam enjoyed each other's company during a recent music festival in Australia, where the Wrecking Ball singer was seen hanging out with Liam and his brother Chris. Friends say the romance started to heat up months ago, and could be the real thing this time.
"Ultimately, Miley wants to show Liam that she's ready to settle down, that she's just a normal girl who loves her family - and that's the side of her that Liam fell in love with," the insider added.
