Jason Derulo thinks modern society is "antisocial".

The 26-year-old star is pretty sociable himself, keeping fans up to date via his Twitter and Instagram profiles. However, he doesn't think it's true of people in general and during a Q&A session with forbes.com described today's generation as "antisocial".

It was a quick-fire round of questions for Jason, who also had tips for others keen to emulate his successful career. He called a good work ethic the most crucial trait for an entrepreneur and revealed why he wanted to make it in the music industry.

"To change the world, get rich, (find) self fulfilment, be my own boss, follow my passion," he shared. "Success is when you can make money doing what you love."

Jason also opened up about his role models, naming American business magnate Warren Buffett his dream mentor and Michael Jackson his biggest influence. He loves King of Pop Michael's music so much, he'd even pick his album Thriller if he could only listen to one record for the rest of his life.

"Every song is a masterpiece," he gushed.

While Jason is well on the way to becoming a role model for up-and-coming musicians, there are some things he just can't master - like cooking.

"You know what my problem is I think? I think I'm a little too creative in the kitchen. For some reason when I get in the kitchen I feel like I know how to cook," he marvelled to BBC Radio 1. "So I start putting things together, I be like, 'Oh that needs a little bit of ginger right there, let me put a little bit of chocolate on the chicken.' Yeah I like jelly, everybody likes jelly right?"
