Get ready for the final series of the hit US talent show, American Idol. It’s back and will be aired exclusively on channel 4Music of The Box Plus Network, from January 11th.
Kicking off with a special two-night event this Monday the farewell season promises explosive audition dramas and big performances that blow the judges away.
Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, the final series will see the judging panel, featuring RnB sensation Jennifer Lopez, country star Keith Urban and living legend Harry Connick Jr, discover an Idol one last time.
The audition stages will provide plenty of entertainment gold, with a special surprise appearance from Kanye West. The 38-year-old rapper and his wife Kim Kardashian crashed the American Idol auditions in San Francisco where he was treated like any other contestant, proceeding to rap ‘Gold Digger’ to the shocked judges.
American Idol has produced some of the biggest stars of the decade including three time Grammy Award winner and multiple UK No.1 chart topper Kelly Clarkson, Grammy Award Winner and acclaimed actress Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood who has won nine American Music Awards and seven Grammys, the youngest winner yet, Jordin Sparks who is responsible for hits including ‘No Air’ and ‘Battlefield’ plus previous runner-up Adam Lambert who now tours with Queen.
