The Prodigy's Keith Flint has ridden his horses with a group who continue to practice the traditional British sport of fox hunting, something that has gained him an unwanted "fan".

Flint recently bought an 18th century pub in Essex, England and, as part of his new country pursuits, began purchasing horses and boarding them with a friend who is still active in the old time pursuit. Fox hunting has been outlawed in much of England and has been called a "pursuit of the past" that should be "consigned to history" by the government but there still are those in the country who continue to practice the "sport".

At first, Flint had no comment on the reports which did not sit well with the infamous group Anonymous who posted a two-and-a-half minute statement on YouTube taking the star to task for his activities.

They state "It has come to our attention that Keith has a fetish for murdering animals. It has come to our attention that Keith has been rubbing shoulders with Tory criminals whilst out fox hunting. ... We once had a great deal of respect for you - we admired your art, your rage, your vision and your haircut but now, Anonymous have targeted you with the message because you disgrace what we stand for."

Whether it was the Anonymous message or his own conscience, Flint broke his silence on Sunday when he posted the following on the band's Facebook page:

Message from Keef Flint: 'In regards to a story going around about me right now - yes I live in essex and have a couple of horses. I went riding with the local trail hunt, it was a ride out and NO ANIMALS WERE HUNTED OR KILLED, so my conscience is clear, it wasn't my thing and I won't be going again.
