Talk show host James Corden fears people in America confuse him with musical theatre star Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The British star now lives in the US for the most part as he fronts The Late Late Show, having taken over from Craig Ferguson. It means he's becoming better known across the pond, although he worries people have some misconceptions about him having heard he's been awarded an OBE honour by Britain's Queen Elizabeth II.

"I felt very proud and lucky that my parents were able to be there, because they made such huge sacrifices for me," he said of it to Britain's Heat magazine, and was then asked if he'd been using it to his advantage.

"I don't think it works like that! It's funny, though, because people in America think I'm some kind of lord. They think I'm the same as Andrew Lloyd Webber."

James' family are all extremely proud of him, especially as his stint on US TV has been a smash hit. He was initially worried he wouldn't do that well and would have to move back to the UK, but he's gone down a storm with audiences there.

"Even just driving into the studio in Hollywood, (seeing) a huge billboard with our show on it (is a pinch me moment)," he said. "My dad said, 'I don't know how this has happened.' I've felt (like) that with my whole career."

James recently praised his wife Julia for how much he's supported him. They welcomed their little girl Carey in October 2014, joining their four-year-old son Max, and just months later had to move to the US for James' job.

"For my wife to make this move when our daughter was five weeks old is incredible," he told Britain's Big Issue magazine. "I will always be indebted. We just went for it. I don’t know if we will live here forever. We are a long way from grandparents, aunties, uncles and friends. It is tough. But I am home much more than if I was making a film. I feel very conscious that my children are only going to be young once. And, as far as I can tell, no one ends up on a therapist’s chair saying: 'My dad was around too much giving me too many cuddles.'"
